Busan with Kids: Dadaepo Beach by Subway

A good family day in Busan does not need five attractions. It needs one place worth reaching, a route the family can understand, and enough energy left to enjoy it.

Dadaepo Beach works well for this kind of day. It sits at the end of Busan Metro Line 1. Busan Station is also on Line 1, so the subway portion does not require a transfer. The beach is broad, the water is shallow, and the coastal park gives families room to walk, pause, and change pace.

The simplest route from Busan Station

Enter Busan Station on Metro Line 1.
Take a train in the direction of Dadaepo Beach, the terminal station.

Why Dadaepo can be easier with children

The Korea Tourism Organization describes Dadaepo as a wide sandy beach with shallow water suitable for children. It is open year-round, and the surrounding coastal park and walking paths make it possible to enjoy the area without treating swimming as the only activity.

“Suitable for children” does not mean risk-free. Tide, weather, water quality, strong sun, wind, and seasonal safety arrangements still require attention. Stay within designated areas and follow local notices.
